About the region
Located in the north-west of France bordered by Brittany in the north and the Poitou-Charentes in the south, Pays de la Loire is renowned for having the longest river in France, The Loire, which crosses the region. It has a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers.

River, sea, and city – a region of beautiful scenery
Discover diverse landscapes which will surprise you with their variety. On the coast, there’s 300 kilometres of Atlantic coastline, endless sandy beaches, delightful bays, and islands such as Yeu, and Noirmoutier well known for their oysters, and other shellfish. In the countryside, the splendid river Loire crosses the lush greens, and cultivates the land.
In cities like Angers, Saumur, and Nantes, you can also visit many châteaux, museums, abbeys, and mansions built by kings and nobles.
Some of them have been restored, and are today inhabited but open to the public; others have been accommodated to welcome guests. Every year, it organises the Le Mans 24 hour race car race which attracts visitors from all over the world.
The region is well known for its incredible variety of wines such as Muscadet, Gros-Plant, Gamay red or rosé, Champigny, and Cabernet.

Getting there, and property prices
Access to the region is easy by means of budget airlines and the TGV from Paris.
Easy communications and the beauty of the area means that property prices are increasing faster than the average for France.
