About the region
Ile-de-France is composed of eight departments centred around its innermost departments and capital, Paris. Around the department of Paris, the city fills a first ring of three departments commonly known as the petite couronne ("inner ring"), and extends into a second outer ring of four departments known as the grande couronne ("outer ring"). It is by far the most densely populated region of France.
Ile de France is a region that rarely sees extremely high or low temperatures. Its winters on average are 6-10°C while the summers are in the low to mid 20’s

Discover beautiful romantic historic Paris
Being so close to Paris has its obvious advantages. Recognised as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, there is something here for everybody’s tastes. Romantic walks along the River Seine, undisturbed days spent in Paris’ museums and cathedrals or watching football or rugby in the famous Stade De France. In a city full of culture, beauty and art you can lose yourself in all its splendour.

Glorious chateaux, and stunning cycling
Outside of the city there are also many spectacular sites to visit including the magnificent Chateau de Vincennes or the Chateau de Fontainebleau, a favourite of Napoleon. Located in the heart of Ile De France it also includes a vast forest which was transformed in the 16th century by Francois 1st, who wanted to create a "New Rome". Here one can enjoy many outdoor activities including cycling and rock climbing.

Getting there, and property prices
Its road and rail system is excellent, and flights are never a problem. Access to the rest of France is also easy by train or plane. Near the centre of the Île-de-France, house prices are higher but as you get outside of the “petite couronne,” prices begin to fall.
