About the region

Midi Pyrénées is located in the southern region of France, and has a variety of different landscapes from the snow-capped mountains of the Pyrénées to the luscious green countryside of Gascony. Its weather consists of long hot summers, and predominantly mild winters.
Its capital city is Toulouse, which is also known as “La Cité Rose” because of its many pink-colored buildings. It is home to a young population due to the variety of universities, restaurants and hotels. It is a so wonderful place to many different museums and sport facilities.
