About the region
Located in northern France bordering Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, Lorraine is often called the “Pays de Trois Frontières” (The Land of Three Frontiers.) The climate has cool winters and warm summers, but rarely experiences extremes of temperature. The rainfall can be quite high, with highest fallings in May and June.

Where art history, and military history meet
The region is packed with culture and art and is where the “Art Nouveau” movement first started in 1901 in the city of Nancy.
It is also home to the “quiche Lorraine” and many fine wines and cheeses Being a region of strategic importance for many countries Lorraine also has an important military history with many museums, and monuments dedicated to the wartime history of the region.
Lorraine is also the ideal place for those with an interest in the outdoors. For winter sports the Vosges mountains are ideal for everything from skiing to ice climbing. And with a forest area covering more than 900,000 hectares there are many more outdoor activities to enjoy.

Getting there, and property prices
Access to the area is easy with airports and railroads alike. With only an 1hour 30mins train ride to Paris, and 50mins to Strasbourg Lorraine could be your perfect region for you.
