About the region
The Limousin region is not densely populated, with only 43 habitants per square kilometre compared with England’s average of 375. It covers three departments - Corrèze, Creuse, and Haute-Vienne. Although summer temperatures can be very warm, the Limousin winters can be damp, and cold. Snow in the higher areas of the region is not uncommon.

History, nature and sport – what more could you want?
If you like nature or romantic strolls, you will love the Limousin region with its varied landscapes of lakes, valleys, and landscapes. You can also see Roman granite churches, and medieval hamlets. You can also enjoy many sports like mountain biking, canoeing, backpacking, horse riding, fishing, and golf.

Getting there, and property prices
Limousin is easily accessible with an airport at Limoges which has direct flights to 4 UK destinations, a motorway linking the main towns of Brive, Tulle and Ussel and rail links with Paris and Marseilles and 2008 there will be an international airport in Brive. This in turn will probably result in house prices rising.
The region also offers very affordable property prices compared to the French average.
